MAsT: Portland exists as an education, support and resource group for individuals involved in, or interested in, the Master/slave lifestyle. We provide an opportunity and forum for like-minded individuals to come together for the discussion of issues that concern Masters and slaves, to share ideas and gain and/or share knowledge of the Master/slave lifestyle.
We are a community of gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, and transgendered men and women who wish to learn from and network with each other in a safe, secure and friendly environment.
Perhaps more than any other type of relationship, consensual M/s relationships have very little precedent in the vanilla world. There is no rulebook, and there is no right way to build these relationships. Each of us has a different style, a different outlook on the way to do this. By gathering here, it is our hope that we can learn from each other, and perhaps avoid some of the pitfalls that others of us may have already encountered. We are different from other local groups in that our focus is solely on Master/slave topics and relationships.
Our goals are to increase awareness of the dynamics of Master/slave relationships, help people find ways to make these relationships work, and provide a place where Masters and slaves of differing backgrounds and practices can find common ground. Secondary to that, we hope to also increase understanding of M/s relationships, protocol and etiquette among both the Leather/BDSM community at large.
We wish to explore, in more depth, the fun and fulfillment that the Dominant/submissive lifestyles can bring to its participants.
We are at different levels of experience who wish to have an outlet to explore our feelings and desires.
We are dedicated to lifelong learning and we are open to learn about and try new things.
We are open minded and can accept others as they are, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, experience level, age, religion, or spirituality.
We are a caring community and welcome all who seek to learn more about power exchange relationships.
